The American: This movie is NOT and action movie. Just a warning. It is good though. A decent character study, made good with the help of George Clooney’s acting.
RED: I don’t really know what everyone was ranting and raving about. This movie was not nearly as good as I expected it to be. The action, was sub-par, and although it did have some funny parts, I was never exactly full-out laughing.
The King’s Speech: Tom Hooper makes such a brilliant film this go-round. Unbelievable, and truly deserving of the Oscar. Also getting the nod is set design.
The Kids Are Alright: Nice Volvo. I’ve always wanted a volvo. But, I bought a Mini Cooper instead. polar opposites really.

Anyway. The movie was alright. In the beggining, I found myself a little bored, but once the cheating started, the acting really picked up. The diner scene at Paul’s house, with the slow-mo wine drinking scene, was one of the most tense moments I have ever experienced in a movie.
Lost in Translation: An interesting movie about needing others that you can relate to. a great narrative on being in a foreign land. I actually cried laughing during the part where he was on the elliptical machine. I was really confused with the relationship aspect of the movie. And, I really didn’t put ANY effort into writing this. I apologize for that. I blame the bandaid.

You’ve failed to maintain your weapon, son.
- Harry Brown

Harry Brown: The story of a vigilante Pensioner. What more do you need to know? That Micheal Caine, one of my favorite, and one of the best does one of his best performances. That Daniel Barber, directs a masterpiece. And that the writers have made a mirror into gang violence that had my mum shuddering plenty-a-time. I also have to mention the sound engineering as it played a crucial role in telling the story of Harry Brown.
Easy A: This one was great for the big screen. And, although I watched it at home, I still enjoyed some of it. I have to say, the cliched story of teen angst is getting a little old for me, but the spin that this movie put on it, really kept me intrested through out. Patricia Clarkson, Stanley Tucci, Emma Stone, and Bryce Clyde Jenkins all really clicked in the familly scenes, which were coincidently by far the best.
Macho: So apparently, this is the most underground indie movie I have ever seen. The IMDb page had no pictures, and the movie has never been rated. Even a google image search of “Macho 2009” returned one picture, in about 5 pages, that actually pertained to the movie. It was alright, really weird at times, but also had it’s really funny moments. It was very (500) Days of Summer esque in the way that it used short vignettes, seamingly jumbled about the timeline to depict a story of love. And at the end, He meets another girl very similar to the girl that has been the subject of the entire movie.
So ya, I guess it’s exactly (500) Days of Summer.
